This project started as a commissioned book and explores the theme of courage.
It tells the story of a young tightrope walker who, despite the risk of falling, chooses to step forward and keeps getting back up in pursuit of something she deeply loves.

The narrative opens into a wider reflection on the risks we all face, making the story both personal and universal. It speaks to children about resilience and the value of trying again, while also resonating with adults through a more intimate and vulnerable dimension tied to stepping into the unknown.

The illustrations are created using mixed techniques, combining oil pastels and digital work to build a warm, textured atmosphere that supports the tone of the story.

Through the rhythm of the images and the contrast between balance and fall, the narrative unfolds within an essential visual space, allowing an emotional layer to emerge naturally—one in which it is easy to recognize something of ourselves.
