My name is Francesca Filomena and I am an Italian illustrator.
I’m interested in translating everyday moments and emotions into images shaped through imagination. My work combines pencils, oil pastels, and digital media, with a focus on preserving a tactile, material quality.
I tend to work with a sense of delicacy, aiming to slow the viewer’s gaze and create a quieter space where one can pause and connect. Rather than explaining, my illustrations try to suggest and leave room for interpretation. My practice moves between editorial projects, book illustration and commercial applications.
What guides my work is an attention to more intimate and quiet moments, often rooted in personal experience. That is where I find meaning: transforming something fragile into an image capable of creating an emotional connection.
