Francesca Filomena is an Italian illustrator who transforms quiet emotions into evocative imagery, suspended between tactile sensitivity and imagination. Working across editorial and commercial fields, she combines pencils, oil pastels, and digital techniques in her practice.
She studied Editorial Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce and later specialized in illustration under Anna Castagnoli at the International School of Illustration in Sarmede.
Her international publications include the graphic novel Hybred (Street Noise Books), created with author Jamie Mustard, as well as the picture books The Dream Factory (Kiwi Stories Publishing), Love Song, and A Girl Who Was Nearly a Flower, alongside the independent project The Wire, created with author and singer Lacy Green. In 2023, she also created the illustration and visual identity for the Apulian book fair Le Strade dei Libri.
