This project was created for the Tapirulan Association contest, based on the theme flop.

The illustration stems from a reflection not so much on failure itself, but on the intention that comes before it: the gentle and naive belief that it might be possible to fly. It is within this gap between desire and reality that the meaning of the image takes shape, a universal feeling made of attempts, expectations, and vulnerability.

The visual process begins with a watercolor stain, used to define the character and later developed digitally to build the entire scene, preserving an organic and imperfect quality.

The strength of the image lies in its ability to turn failure into an empathetic space, where the viewer can recognize something of themselves without the need for explicit explanation.

The illustration is currently exhibited at the Museo del Violino in Cremona as part of the Tapirulan exhibition.
