Created for the Notte di Fiaba illustration contest, it explores the reinterpretation of Tarzan’s story through its central conflict: a figure suspended between two identities, animal and human.
This theme takes shape through two distinct visual moments. On one side, a full immersion in the jungle, conceived as a layered and enveloping space where nature becomes a dominant presence.
On the other, a more intimate scene, where the relationship between the characters introduces a quieter, more contained emotional dimension.
The image is built from a textured base created with oil pastels and medium, and then developed digitally. The sketch accompanies the project, making the process visible.
At its core lies the contrast between environment and intimacy: a balance that creates rhythm, guides the viewer’s gaze, and suggests an emotional narrative without making it explicit.
The illustration has been selected for the exhibition organized by Notte di Fiaba and will be exhibited in August 2026 at the MAG – Museo Alto Garda, in Riva del Garda, Italy.
